THE WHITE STRIPES WILL PRESENT AT PRIMAVERA SOUND THEIR NEW RECORD ICKY
THUMP ON THEIR ONLY SPANISH DATE OF THEIR WORLD TOUR.

Sr. Chinarro, Beirut, Portastatic, Hot Chip, Fujiya & Miyagi, Black Lips,
Battles and Half Foot Outside are also added to the line-up among others.

Some new bands have been added to the line-up for Primavera Sound 2007,
which will take place in Barcelona¹s Parc del Forum on the 31st of May, 1st
and 2nd of June. A special mention for the visit of the American duet The
White Stripes, who will present their new record, ²Icky Thump", on the only
Spanish date of their world tour. Meg y Jack White are one of the
indispensable reference of the past 10 years, with their minimalist songs,
mix of blues, hard rock and primitive rock´n´roll.

Beirut, project of young Zach Condor, who has stirred up pop scene with that
sound somewhere between sensitive pop and Balcanic orchestra, also stands
out in those new additions. Another longer-careered genius of pop, Mac
MacCaughan, with his band Portastatic will offer their first show in Europe
with the whole band in our Festival.

On the most playful side of our line-up is the twisted funk of the British
band Hot Chip, who almost created a new musical style with their debut ³The
Warming², full of hits, inspired on the dance-floor. Although more oriented
to danceable kraut-rock, we also add Fujiya & Miyagi, who will confirm their
ascending career with their live show.

Black Lips arrive with their still fresh first album for Vice Records, a
live show that proves that they are one of the best garage music band of the
decade. Also from across the pond but with quite a different proposal we
will have Battles, a band in which some members of legendary bands of
underground American rock as Don Caballero and Helmet Battles are hidden.

On a local level, the first place is for the Sevillan band Sr. Chinarro, who
put themselves again among the elite of Spanish pop rock with their album,
"El Mundo Según...²

The brilliant indie-rock of Half Foot Outside, the French-style pop of
Plastic D´Amour, from Madrid, post-hardcore of Za, rock without labels of
Peluze, experimentation of Anticonceptivas and AA Tigre, the guitar pop of
Ghouls´n´Ghosts complete Estrella Damm Primavera Sound¹s line-up.
