Bio Olga Kouklaki

Olga is born 1979 in Athens, Greece. She starts playing the piano at the age of 8 and has never quit music since: While doing her classical music studies, curiosity brings her into the electronic scene and she starts djing in Greek bars and clubs and takes music production courses.

In Sept 2001 she moves to Paris to dj and taking some classes in interior design and contemporary music . In January 2003, she releases her first track in UK (sumsonic.rec.uk) called `Don`t Look At Me` by the name of ODD and starts cooperating with the French label F Com. She participates at the live project of Jay Alanski (aka Reminiscent Drive) and starts giving concerts as a programmer-keyboard player. In December 2003 she records vocals for Fred`s Avril track `Tv Dinner` (album `Members Only`, label Fcom) and in April 2004 she records vocals for Poni Hoax`s track `Budapest` (label Tigersushi). ‘Budapest’ is released December 2005 . The track is featured on compilations in the UK (Fabric) and France (’LesInrocks) and receives great reviews all over Europe.

as a programmer-keyboard player, Olga also participates at the live project of Bang Bang (Yellow prod.) and Nouvelle Vague (Peacefrog).

Her own project, produced by Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) and her EP ’Getalife’ (with a Blackstrobe remix) will be soon released on ’ThePerfectKiss’.

THE PERFECT KISS

· After collaborating with Joakim (on Poni Hoax ‘Budapest EP’) and with Avril (on his ‘Members Only’ album), the Greek born dj releases her first 12” from her debut album (released in September)

· The dark lords of electro, Black Strobe, were chosen for remix duties: they turn the original into an electroid pounding monster containing all trademark sounds Black Strobe is known for

· Second remix is by Tigersushi’s Volga Select, which is Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) and Arnaud Rebotini (1/2 Black Strobe), who head with their remix in a different direction: a meticulously crafted electronic song, backed with a subtle soundesign and minimal arrangements.

· The fourth track is Olga’s own interpretation of her own track, making the the song even darker and more mystic than the original one.

· This 12” with three different interpretations of the very intense electro song, is the best way to discover Olga’s sound and world.

· Debut album will follow in September, released on The Perfect Kiss/PIAS
